Bonfiglioli has appointed CBC Australia as a national distribution partner in what it says is a major expansion in distribution of its industrial motors and drives.
CBC distributes bearings, power transmission and engineered solutions. It has over 450 staff in 60 locations, and boasts more than 100 channel partners.
Bonfiglioli boss Malcolm Lewis says the distributor is more than equipped to handle his company’s extensive range.
“Bonfiglioli motors and drives are among the world’s most advanced and reliable for industrial processes, automation, mobile and renewable energy applications,” Lewis argued.
“They are extensively supported in Australia by local engineering expertise and excellent inventory, qualities which are ideally complemented by CBC’s similar emphasis on in-depth service and customer satisfaction.”
CBC Australia has been servicing the Australian mining and heavy industry for more than 60 years.
Lewis believes CBC can add a new dimension to his company’s established network.
In addition to Bonfiglioli’s large HD and HDO drives, the distribution agreement includes the manufacturer’s worm drives, including ‘state-of-the-art’ VF/W models with the flexibility of wide mounting options, shaft configurations and motor interfaces as standard, the company explained.
The agreement also covers Bonfiglioli’s C, A, F and S helical power transmission and control units.
CBC sales director George Khoury said the Bonfiglioli range complements the distributor’s philosophy and resources, which includes inventory of more than $50 million, and a team of engineers to apply local service and expertise.
“Bonfiglioli has the range, quality, customer-responsiveness and local skills to contribute to a powerful partnership that aligns with CBC’s values, to secure our customer’s productivity through exceptional service, technical support, superior range of international brands and assurance of stock availability,” Koury said.
Lewis concluded: “Our ongoing investment in local stock, specialist assembly equipment and the engineering expertise of our local staff has continued unabated in recent years, enabling us to build bevel helical units locally up to 500 kW.”
